What is
HIPAA?
HIPAA, The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of
1996, provides legislation to protect workers who leave their jobs
from losing their ability to be covered by health insurance (Portability),
and to protect the integrity, confidentiality and availability of
health information. (Accountability)
One of the security
standards states the following:
Physical safeguards to guard data integrity, confidentiality,
and availability. These safeguards protect physical computer systems,
medical documents and related buildings and equipment from intrusion.
The use of locks, keys, and administrative measures used to control
access to computer systems and facilities are also included.
Covered entities
(except small health plans) MUST comply with these security standards
by April 21, 2005. Small health plans have an additional year to
comply.
Mobile Media
Inc. designers got straight to work to come up with a solution for
your security requirements.
These Bi-Fold doors are designed with simplicity in mind and make
your security worries a thing of the past.
The Mobile Media HIPAA doors are reinforced the full length for
maximum strength and rigidity and at 1/2" thick (1" folded)
they are ultra low profile.
The doors can be used on both Bi-File (Lateral) systems as well
as Compact systems.
